Canon: Tulip, home

These are the tulips I bought a few weeks ago, the lavender one didn't fare so well but the darker ones have done great.

Oooooooooooooh....

Those are wicked purdy. I wish I had tulips, but I know I'd kill the suckers...

.. cuz of my chemistry-laden thumb and all.

hehe, thanks. Tulips are actually easier to grow than I ever thought they'd be...at least, in containers they are. I've had better luck with the bulbs from brecks or michigan bulb co or wherever, the ones I bought from the stores are surviving but don't seem quite as healthy. Anyway, that's my recommendation if you decide to try to grow some: buy bulbs online or from a local grower. ^___^

Nice Tulips. Ever made it up north here to Washington for the Tulip festival? Miles and miles of tulips...as far as the eye can see. People come from all over the world to see em (major traffic jams)

Thank you. No...where in Washington and what part of the year is it? I'd love to see more tulips. Finally made it to the tulip festival up in Woodburn this spring. Hoping to get pictures from that scanned sometime soon. That was fun! Walked around the tulips for a couple of hours. Beautiful! Plus a nice view of the mountain in the background. ^___^

Yeah, the Tulip festival has been going on for 2-3 weeks here...it's basically at the tail end of it. It's up at the northern part of the state, near Bellingham.

Sounds nice. There's nothing quite like a glorious mass of flowers to make a beautiful day. ^___^ Cool, I've never been any further north than Seattle, at least not since I was a kid.
