i want your leather-studded kiss in the sand

Lady Gaga puts on an absolutely amazing concert!! Heather and I enjoyed every minute of her concert. I must confess that I've been focusing on Adam's upcoming concert a bit more and hadn't heard much about the tour and her shows. Silly me. If you have a chance to see Gaga live you absolutely MUST go!!

We made it up to Portland around 3 so we got our hotel and crashed for a bit. Then we went to the Lloyd Center and spent a little time looking around. Ate dinner at Red Robin - we missed our hotel the first time because we saw RR and were talking about how Lady Gaga went out for dinner at the Red Robin before the Roseburg concert the night before. LOL!! Can you imagine?! During the concert she said she'd gone for a bike ride in Portland. Cool that she can enjoy a little bit of the various cities while she's there. So random. lol.

We were able to walk over to the venue from the hotel - next time I won't pay for parking and will just know to get a hotel instead. So MUCH easier especially for afterwards. We happened to breeze right through the security line - they barely looked in my little clutch and not at all at Heather's. Wish you'd know when that would happen and have a camera, but oh well. My phone's pics/videos were absolutely terrible, but Heather's may have turned out ok. The Rose Garden's venue is huge and the acoustics are absolutely wonderful! They have tons of food vendors (salmon! salads! all sorts of unexpected stuff that I don't remember) and a couple of merchandise booths. We got some popcorn and went to find our seats - we ended up about five rows from the ROOF of the building! Thank goodness for the big screens because they were ants otherwise. LOL. We were really high and I was wishing I hadn't worn heels because I felt like I had to be really careful to lean backwards while sort of dancing. LOL.

It was fun people watching and seeing a wide variety of outfits and stuff. They played fun music and had a person dancing to entertain people while we waited. The opening band is Semi Precious Weapons and I have to confess that I didn't particularly care for them, and Heather hated them. lol. They had a couple entertaining moments, the bass player played half a song while on his back with his feet up in the air, and they did a good job of getting the crowd excited about Gaga. The chanting was great fun. ;D

You should have heard the crowd roar when the lights went down for Gaga. OMG, beautiful. She has really lovely backgrounds and props during her songs, and a neat song/picture screen when they're changing out sets. Interesting if hard to explain. I hadn't really given much thought to the "monster ball" tour and how that would play out, but she had a whole storyline woven in throughout the concert about it and it was really fun. They were on their way to the Monster Ball, but the car broke down, they got lost, transported to an alien world, attacked by the fame monster, and then they made it. lol. It was AWESOME. Her show was just over 2 hours long!!

Intro: (shows the b&w screens that they'd play in between sets)

This is the new song, You and I, although this version is not from Portland. Still very cool. Gorgeous song.

Speechless isn't one of my favorites, but it is incredibly gorgeous live! And the story and the flames on the piano are just fantastic. (Their video is off the big screen, so the angles are a bit weird!) 3:44 is where she starts talking about the flames, and then after that they get even more beautiful and big.

THE FAME MONSTER! AWESOME!!

Bad Romance was the last song, and it completely rocked. Not the best clip ever but I don't have time to find another right now. Sorry.

Sorry for any incoherence. Driving makes me tired and the videos were found in random order. LOL. Wish there was a video of Teeth because it completely rocked!!!! Anyway, Lady Gaga live is simply fantastic!! We had a wonderful time and definitely will see her again when she returns! Magnificent!!
