Sojourn

Found a wonderful new comic to read. New to me, anyway! It's Sojourn, of the CrossGen comics. I suppose it's got a standard "hero's quest" plot, but I don't read a ton of fantasy books so it doesn't bother me. The story is interesting and the art is wonderful--the main characters are all pretty gorgeous, of course, but they also have a dose of reality that makes them touchable and warm. And the artist does excellent horses, dogs and even rats. And truly ugly trolls (along the line of the uruk-hai (sp?) of LotR) that are still impressive looking. I read the TPB and #12 last night. I'm hoping to be able to work in a visit to the other comic book store today to see if they have the issues I'm missing. I want them NOW. lol. I already added it to my box so I will get all future issues. Can't wait.

bees go buzzing by

It's not even noon yet and it's already a fantastic day! Gorgeous and sunny, and not yet suffocatingly hot. And we're going to go see a movie, so even if it is hot it's okay. *G*
