I'm starting to feel so much better! Actually feeling up to walking with the dogs again, though it's only at a stroll level right now.

I noticed today that my cough drops have all these inspirational sayings on them! Such as: HI-five yourself. Be unstoppable. Don't wait to get started. Push on! Inspire envy. Get back in the game.

LOL. I gotta say that inspiring envy while coughing up your lungs doesn't work so well. But, more sad to say, I've been using these non-stop since Monday and never noticed any writing on the wrappers at all. O.o Been so out of it!!

Anyway. We're having a meeting here pretty soon.

Wow! A vacation sure does a body good! ^__^

Part of the family went on a trip to Eastern Oregon this week - my grandfather has been talking about the round barn that was built over 100 years ago, and how interesting it was that this rancher had decided to build a round barn for breaking in his draft horses and such. So we finally got organized and went to see it! With the added bonus of seeing part of the Malheur Wildlife preserve and possibly the Steens Mountains (home of the Kiger Mustangs, you know!).

Found out today that the new season of Supernatural starts on October 4th. Thursday night. Too bad it wasn't Friday, but I guess that's okay. Fridays are long anyway, might as well stay up late the night before. *G* We just need to watch Season 2 before then, and that shouldn't be a problem really. Looking forward to it! Season 1 rocked! ^___^

Watching a History show on the Vandals. Pretty interesting. The 2nd half is far more like I remember from history class. ;D Though I didn't remember anything about the daughter of the slaughtered roman emporer and her desperate plan to avoid marrying the jerk who killed her father. heh.

Earlier we watched a bit of the Maneaters episode - about man eating lions. Weird that the three they focused on were maneless young male lions. Makes you wonder if that had anything to do with it (weird genes, mutations, etc) or if it was just coincidence.

hahah! That travelocity gnome is pretty funny sometimes. I still like the one where he got struck by electricity - 'am I gonna die'? The one they just showed with him bouncing on the bed (and getting stuck on the roof) and in the tropics (with the bartender juicing the orange on his hat/head) is kind of cute. It's funny this time, though ten times later it may not be so funny. You know?

I must say that today was a decent day. Hectic, but at least things went pretty well and I managed to get things OFF of my desk instead of rerouted to someone else and back to me. So that's a good thing!

Today's BPAL was Doc Constantine, and wow, was it lovely. A little bit of aging makes it swoon worthy.

Odwalla is a wonderful juice company. My current favorites are the PomaGrand pomegranate lemonade and limeade ones, and right now they're on sale for $1.98. Which is still expensive, but at least they're substantially on sale. Mmmm. They're so summery and delicious. I must admit to being confused as to how a juice/puree blend (even if it's only 20%) ends up with no % of vitamin a, c, calcium or iron. You'd think it would have 20% or something! Oh well. I'll get the ones with vitamins and potassium and such in them when they're on sale. ;D

Note to self:
Tomorrow: If you go out to the ranch tomorrow night, please remember to take the watermelons! And the extra mayan chocolate ice cream. And the seed packets that are going to Heather's. Sunscreen. And since it's been a hectic week, don't forget the changes of clothes. Wouldn't that just figure? Also, see if you can find that visor!

An elderly Floridian called 911 on her cell phone to report that her car has been broken into. She is hysterical as she explains her situation to the dispatcher: "They've stolen the stereo, the steering wheel, the brake pedal and even the accelerator!" she cried.

The dispatcher said, "Stay calm. An officer is on the way."

A few minutes later, the officer radios in. "Disregard." He says. "She got in the back-seat by mistake."

Even having an idea what it was going to be, it did make me crack up. :)
