This morning was really weird - the car windows were slick and icy, but the roads were dry as a bone. Thankfully!! But the glass was super slick.
Anyway, here's some reviews that I missed posting earlier:

No italics or fancy formatting this time, as I'm afraid I'm going to get kicked off again. Fatal errors are irritating. :D

BPAL package arrived today! YAY!!!! I ordered two bottles and received four frimps with them. Weird thing--all the imps have a spiritual element to them. Kind of interesting! That may be because of Ave Maria Gratia Plena, or it could just be coincidence.

Aug. 2nd, 2006 05:48 pmKuntstkammer - A sensory jumble, a true cacophony of odors: black pepper, benzoin, blood orange and olibanum. This is an intriguing scent. I don't know what benzoin or olibanum are, but I think the strongest scents are the pepper and the blood orange anyway. Very bittersweet, yet fascinating. I just got a partial bottle of this one, so I'll test it a few more times before deciding whether it's a keeper or not.
The Black Tower - A sepulchral, desolate scent. Long-dead soldiers, oath-bound; the perfume of their armor, the chill wind that surges through their tower, white bone and blackened steel: white sandalwood, ambergris, wet ozone, galbanum and leather with ebony, teak, burnt grasses, English ivy and a hint of red wine. I wanted to love this one so very much. Instead of a hint of red wine, I get an "OMG! WINE OVERLOAD!" Thankfully after about five minutes the wine fades to a dull roar, but I still don't get any of the really cool scents or impressions. So sad.
Death on a Pale Horse - And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. empty white musk and mint seeped with solemn lavender, doleful patchouli and vetiver, scythe-sharp yuzu and lime, with geranium bourbon, white sandalwood and calla lily. I've enjoyed this one for quite a while, but found someone selling a partial bottle this last week. The main site is down so I'm not able to get the whole description, but I believe they called this one a doleful scent. Interesting, because my impression of it is just how very pretty it is and that it's one of those that isn't so light you can't tell you're wearing it. It's a nice mix of pretty scents with some weightier ones to round them out. Surprise bonus on the bottle--it actually has a label! I was beginning to think only the LE ones did, so it must be because it's a subsection of the Sin & Salvation ones.

I'm not very good with reviews, but I will start sharing my thoughts on my new BPAL oils. Friday's mail made me VERY happy as it contained my Lab order and two swaps. Of course, haven't been home to actually test any of them until last night!
