Jul. 18th, 2007 05:32 pmI'm amazed at how lazy a day today has been. LOL. It's been much needed, though!
Managed to sleep in until just before 9 - that hardly ever happens anymore. Then just kind of messed around the rest of the morning. Picked up comics today - I'm pretty sure knowing Strangers in Paradise is ending is one of the reasons for the delay this month. Haven't read them yet, but will do so here tonight. Also picked up TP and lunch - Safeway has a three-potato salad that is divine. She said that it's red and white potatoes, with creamed sweet potatoes holding it all together. OMG, yummy. I'm going to have to try to make it sometime!
Rabbit, where'd you put the keys, girl? God, I love this song.
Touches of whimsy from Woman's Day April 2005:
But then, shall I never get any older than I am now? That'll be a comfort, one way--never to be an old woman--but then, always to have lessons to learn! ~ Alice in Wonderland
When the first baby laughed for the first time, its laugh broke into a thousand pieces, and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies. ~Peter Pan
A place where there isn't any trouble. Do you suppose there is such a place? There must be. It's not a place you can get to by a boat or a train. It's far, far away. Behind the moon, beyond the rain. ~Dorothy, The Wizard of Oz
Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon. ~Winnie the Pooh

This little excerpt is from the Dilbert newsletter. People sometimes just amaze me. I'm with the wife on this one! ;D
My wife and her friend were talking about eating, my wife joked that her friend has several stomachs, like a cow. She responded with “Yes, my udders.”
To which my wife said, “Udders are separate from stomachs.”
"Well it’s all attached", says she.
My wife says, "Umm, no, like humans, cows eat, it goes through their stomach, they digest, and it comes out the other end."
At which she confidently replied “Right. And milk is a cow’s pee.”
My wife cried.
