All of a sudden I'm tired, headachy and not feeling all that great. Here's hopingit goes away quickly.
Had a major surprise this morning--my sister *volunteered* to go hiking with me! LOL. It was very nice to have company, and we had a good hike. Made it to the quarry and back, and only got rained on for a wee little bit. It was one of those downpours that actually manages to hit you very little--kind of nice, all things considered. Got to see a tiny little garter snake, he was really a very pretty color. It's so funny the things that the dogs do not notice at all.
Then we all went into town for various things. Stopped at a Gateway store and checked out their options. We're considering one of their packages that would allow for sis's games and my photos, along with watching dvd's on a fantastic digital 18" screen! Depending on comparisons at other stores, of course, but it sounds really sweet. Fantastic sound, as well!
I picked up a barbed wire frame for my truck's front license plate, the Mariners one does not match my truck nearly as well as it did my little Tercel. Sis picked up a super dragon for her seat cover, which reminds me that I still have that one I bought last year to replace the black one in my truck. Must install soon. Oh, also picked up a dragon tanktop and a dragon t-shirt. No theme happening there, at all. *G* Then at the Western store picked up a really cool little post-it pad holder--it's like a rocky border with two wolves on it. Also got a fantastic smelling candle...Buttercup. Smells a lot like butterscotch lifesavers. *G* Also, it's got a pretty picture of a horse and cowgirl on the front, and says "Speak your mind...but ride a fast horse." lol. There were about seven other flavors, and they all smell delicious. Will have to pick up more of them.
Also, they had some beautiful vases, picture frames and lamps there. It looked like they wrapped a rope around each item, so it appeared that it was made entirely of the rope. Very, very beautiful, but very expensive. I am thinking of asking Papa if he has any ropes that are beyond use, and see if I can experiment with a vase or something and see if I can recreate the effect. If so, then we can get a cheap lamp for the dark corners and make it look cool with this added to it.
Mmm. Anyway, today's been a good day. And wonder of all wonders, we're all actually getting along! WhooHooo. ^__^ It was hot and muggy, but just rained, so it's actually more bearable now, as well physically. Yay for that!
