It's so cold this morning. Bbbrrrrr. But, it's a nice change from melting from the heat, so only minor complaints. *G*

Hoping to pick up my pictures this afternoon. The great thing about it is I have been taking pictures on my good camera and on the disposable camera (alternating days, basically), so since I only turned the one in it'll be a grand suprise as to what some of the pictures are beforehand. lol. And the other roll is now ready to drop off. Whoo!

Lately most of the forwards have been either silly or stupid, or one you've seen a million times. This one is new to me, though, and sweet, so I'm sharing it. :)

hehe, and another good one. I like this one a lot. :D

One day a farmer´s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried
piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway. It just wasn´t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone´s amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer´s neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up
over the edge of the well and trotted off!

Now, the Moral of the Story:

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred.

2. Free your mind from worries.

3. Live simply.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less.

P.S. - The donkey later came back and kicked the crap out of the man that tried to bury him.

Moral: When you try to cover your ass, it always comes back to get you.

WINNING Post's Stewart Machin commentating on jockey Tony McCoy's formidable lead: "Tony has a quick look between his legs and likes what he sees."

Classic Pieces of Commentary!! Too funny! )

The dogs were barking, per usual. Look out to see why the bicycle hasn't made it by yet...there's this big ol' vulture flying around the front yard! LOL. Turns out (going by the smell of things as I was trying to see where he ended up perched across the road) there's something dead around here, so he was checking out the front yard to see if there was something else available. heee!

They're not the prettiest of birds by any stretch of the imagination, but they actually are kind of pretty when they're gliding around in the air. Plus, they do have a function to perform, and one which I'm happy they do, even if it is a bit icky too. If it starts flying around again, I'm prepared, my camera is now loaded with film.

Today: Just like yesterday. Only I woke up a little bit less tired than the day before. Anticipation for tomorrow: much the same. I'm so thankful to have a short week this week, because it's not been very fun at all. Stress upon stress, but what the hey. Only 1.5 more days!! Just have to make it through them.

Our lilies are beginning to bloom, and they are so pretty! They're yellow, I forget what their prettier name is. The big stargazers aren't ready to bloom yet, but it won't be too long....and there will be a LOT of blooms for them! I can't wait, they smell so heavenly. The calla lilies are attempting to bloom...I've never seen them live before. It's like yellow turning into red, or some such weird variation. *shrug* The strawberries and tomatoes are well on their way too....whoooo! Makes me feel good to actually have plants that are surviving and happy!
