Had a good hike this morning, though I was dressed in anticipation of it getting hot, and instead it stayed cool! Augh! Oh well, made for a very brisk hike and lots of foggy breath. *G* Saw a huge flock of the itty bittiest little birds! Don't know if they were baby finches, or what, but they sure were adorable.
Yesterday's trip through the horse barn rekindled my desire to someday get an adopted mustang. I've always been intrigued with the idea since high school, but never had the place or time or whatever. But still, every other year or so the desire hits again. But this year, there's a small ray of light at the end of the tunnel--we're checking into this grant thing, and IF it works out and we have some help for the house (especially if it's the one we're really interested in) then we would have room for a horse and there's even a small barn at the one we've got our eye on. Soooo....certainly won't happen this year, but it's still an exciting possibility to even think about. *tigger bounces*

Burns, the Oregon pick up site
There are some really interesting looking horses at Burns this year, and they look sweet tempered too. The main site has some horses that have been gentled by convicts up for bid, but they're further away, so I don't know...may just check and see if the horses in Burns are really wild still, or if they're used to people enough that they wouldn't be difficult to gentle ourselves. I dunno. Shall check into it *way* more before actually getting into it, like I said, it's not happening this year at all. :o)
