g'morning

I so did not want to wake up this morning. Stumble into the bathroom and the first thing I hear is a mouse under the cabinet. Eewwwwww. And it has been in my closet because it left evidence. Nasty little buggers. Last time we had mice they destroyed some clothes for their nest, so I stocked the traps this morning with peanut butter. Hate to do it, but I can't afford to restock my wardrobe right now and they're a bit of a health hazard to boot. Ugh. Yuck.

Not sure if I'll make it online tonight, it sort of depends on how smoothly tonight's meeting goes. And then I'm going out to Heather's...don't dare reschedule again after missing visiting her on Sunday. lol. So, depending on our schedules, we may just not go online tonight. We'll see. All I can say is I'm so very happy it's Wednesday and we have a long weekend coming up. Fantastic.

Today actually went rather well. Even the meeting went well, the presenters were amusing and informative. Learned that my rating as an investor is a 21, which is the bare minimum for "growth" but I actually prefer the "balanced" view, which is the 20. My supervisor said she is inbetween two categories as well and is going to split her funds between the two, so I may do that. I'll consider which way to go over the weekend. I may go 60% in the balanced and 40% in the growth, as it does appear to still be fairly safe, but still...don't know that I want even 50% of my 401(k) in one without any of the really safe and boring stuff. heh. I'm so utterly thankful I didn't actually become an accountant, because I find all that mathematical stuff boring and hate dealing with it. Just because I got good grades in math classes doesn't mean I actually enjoy it or even actually understand everything. Just understand the patterns and how to work them. *shrug*

Anyway. During my lunch break I got the brilliant idea of walking a few blocks to take pictures of the huge ceramic ducks in town, I knew the placement of three of them as of last weekend. Well, it's way more than a few blocks, and they ended up moving one of the ducks!! So I only got pictures of two of them, but they're both beautiful. You know those ceramic cows with all the fancy paintings on them? These are like those in theory, except they must be six feet tall. The one has all these pretty koi on it, and the other was plastered in daisies. She had gorgeous long eyelashes, but the side on the sidewalk side must have been vandalized or something, because they were gone. And there was too much traffic to hang out in the middle of the road to get her other side. lol. I may have to try at a less busy time. But probably not walk this time, as much as the ball of my foot is hurting, I think I got a blister. Must remember to NOT wear dress shoes when walking during lunch. Which means I have to bring my tennis shoes to work. hah. It probably would also be better to not choose to do these types of things on 90+ days, but...it didn't seem that hot at first. :o)

Yeah. That's it. So glad there's only two days left this week!
