falling leaves of gold

While waiting for my truck to thaw out this morning, I was standing in the front yard while Natey ran around for a few minutes. Looked up over the house because I was hearing something kind of odd and soft--turns out it's practically raining leaves up on the hill!! It was sort of neat, but sad because the leaves are already falling off the trees. Ahhh. Soon we shall have only the skeletons left.

Tried to frame the lily with the golden tree, sort of managed it. The peppers died shortly after this picture, they *almost* made it to being ripe after the whole summer. Maybe next year it'll work! Will try a bigger pot for them next time. ;o)
