Weekends simply aren't long enough. Still, it was a good one.

June's monster is adorable!! little sasquatch monster. I'm not sure about the other one. A flea? Centipede? My eyes aren't that good. LOL.

I'm in agreement about not tagging people. It's irksome. Anyone who'd like to answer can do so here or in their own journal. :o) Hmm. In rereading the first paragraph I'm not sure if it came with the survey or if it was [livejournal.com profile] alabastard's own words. They definitely add to the survey so I'm keeping them with it...

There are some books and films that I can read and watch over and over. There are some authors who perhaps are not the best writers, but who succeeded in creating a world so real and enticing, the books, the films, have come alive. Ann Rice, Tolkien, Rowlings are three that come to mind immediately, we were talking about this just the other day, and then I see this survey going around. I can think of far more than five, but these are the five series I watch/read over and over most often and know the best.

You've just been given the magic ticket from Last Action Hero, allowing you to step into the world of any film or series.

Which five movies would you visit? Why? When you're done, tag five people to do the same.

1. The Harry Potter series. How fabulous would it be to be in a world where magic is so much fun? Fascinating people and magical creatures.

2. The LotR trio. If I had to pick one, though, it would be The Two Towers and I would like to be a person of Rohan. ^___^

3. Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. These have become one of my favorite series of books ever, and his fantasty series is just as fabulous. You get a little of everything--wizards, werewolves and vampires, plus the sidhe and other fey types, demons, etc. Fantastic!

4. The early Dragonriders of Pern. Why? Dragons with whom you have an actual connection! OMG how freaking wonderful would that be. Plus, they're beautiful! And busy saving the world. Though, I stopped after Renegades and I've heard the remainder of the series is a bit...not as cool, so that's why I say the earlier books. I adored this world when I was younger and still have a fondness for it.

5. X-Men. The 90's? Maybe late 80's to mid 90's. I love the idea of being able to come together with all of these unusual powers and learning how to control them and be part of a group while still maintaining individuality. I miss the adventures of the x-men, x-force, x-factor and the like, and the sheer humor that some of the older comics had. It's been ages since I've read any of the comics though, as they ended up going in directions that were no longer interesting. I do miss the old Wolverine, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Rogue, Wolfsbane and so on. :o)
