new layouts

LJ put up some more expressive layouts and one of the mixit layouts. I must confess that I do kind of like the hearts and daisies one, despite being very pink and girly. lol. Otherwise, I do wish they'd let us do a TINY bit of customization on the expressive layouts, because while I like quite a few of the headers, I find the white background and black text to be incredibly boring and hard to read after a while. And the white or pale grey text on black is equally hard, especially in tiny type. Blah. Anyway, that's my complaint for the day. I do love quite a few of the new schemes though - almost went with the miami cityscape layout because of an overdose of purple, but I'm really not that into big cities. I'm sticking with the horse layout because...well, it's horses! That rocks despite not loving the whole color scheme.

Trying out an image at the bottom of the posts now, too. Adds a bit of flavor, right?

There's been a touch of flu/stomach flu going around the office the last week or so. I went home early yesterday because I felt nauseous and headachy behind the eyes and such. Never did get sick, and feeling better today. Just worried about doing something to cause it to rear its ugly head up again. So far so good, though.

Filter question

Does anyone else use filters regularly - most especially for community reading? I do, but I've noticed that when I get really behind, it stops going backwards after a while. On one of my fic filters it stopped at Jan 31st - I think it was skip 60 or 75 when it stopped. Why would it do that? That's nothing, as I've managed to get to skip120 or higher on one of the icon filters... it's not as if there aren't any posts prior to January, I know that much!

Anyway, it's not a huge deal. I think that's probably right around where I left off last time, but it's just kind of odd. Wondered if anyone had problems like that before and what maybe causes it.

*sigh*

I'm tired, but don't want to go to bed. Don't want to go to work either, but oh well. That's a given. ;D
