This was a pretty good Friday. We had a potluck at work - my coworker makes the most fabulous bbq meatballs ever. She was generous enough to share the recipe, so I'm pretty sure we'll be making a batch in the next month or so. Mmm, mmm.
We have a bit of a wildlife drama going on in our state. Apparently, six years ago up in Mollalla a couple found a brown and white (like pinto, not spotted) fawn that was crippled and they took it to the vet to get it fixed. They kept it at their place, which is not good or legal, but sort of understandable. It's had a reportedly happy and healthy life, and even had a fawn last year. But someone (they think a disgruntled family member) reported them, so they confiscated both deer yesterday. The state's been in an uproar and making unhappy calls and letters, apparently, because there was a follow up in the paper today. The officials are stating it's illegal to keep wild animals and they should be turned loose, but come one...the doe is six years old!! She either needs to go to an animal park or just left with the people if it's a good home. imho. of course. they state euthanasia is the last resort, but I sincerely hope it doesn't come to that. she's an unusual color and would be a neat park animal if she can't be returned to the wild. Anyway, I'm rambling. It's just a sad situation all around.
Amazon has been so annoying these last couple times - for some reason my cards won't go through the first time. So now instead of having Supernatural on it's way here, it's still at headquarters or whereever. At least, I didn't get a shipping notice today. *cries*
