ob-la-di, ob-la-da

It's been quite a nice day today. Slept in a little bit, which was really nice. Then spent the morning working on cleaning out the kitchen - rearranged the counters, took out all the recycles and all of the pop cans, and so on. Plan on tackling the cupboards or the dining room tomorrow. Then took the recycles to the dump and met Mom at the place she's petsitting at - haven't been in a hot tub in ages, and OMG, was that nice! It felt absolutely lovely.

After that lovely interlude, we ran into town and turned in the cans. Had salmon & chips at Newman's, which is the first time I've been back after our office moved. Missed it! It was as good as memory said it was. Shall have to chance that tiny little parking lot on random work days and not go another five or six months without again. *G*

We were listening to a Beatles Anthology album while in the hot tub, and I've borrowed it to listen to more of it tonight. I'd totally forgotten that ob-la-di, ob-la-da was the theme song for life goes on! I LOVED that show and that song. *happy sigh*

Anyway, that's the state of today so far. It's nice when you can have a day that is both productive and fun. ^__^
