Wow!

OMG! On the way to work this morning, I saw three gorgeous bull elk in the pasture just down the road from our house. WOW! Just beautiful. The lighting wasn't very good and they were acting really flighty, so I did not even attempt to get a picture with my cell phone camera. But that's exciting, as we'll likely be seeing the whole herd this fall then. Yay!

Ok, gotta get to work now. ^__^

Oh how awesome *___* And you'll really get to see a whole herd later?? So cool~~~ *3* There are never more than maybe one stray deer I've seen around here, no elk D8

It was totally awesome! Well, hopefully. We've seen about 20-25 of the cow elk in years past, so here's hoping that seeing the bulls now is a good sign for seeing all of them in the future!

We've got a good sized deer population - white tailed deer mostly. Got to see a few fawns this year - they're adorable!! But the elk are a total treat!

Wow, that sounds very cool. I'd love to vacation somewhere that I could see sights like that.

Absolutely!! I want to see Denali Park in Alaska some day. But if you ever do get to visit Oregon, there is an Elk Landing along the highway on the way to Bandon (which is the animal game park). So you've got a better chance of actually seeing elk for sure that way! :D
