Dog (true story)

I was flying from San Francisco to Los Angeles. By the time we took off, there had been a 45-minute delay and everybody on board was ticked. Unexpectedly, we stopped in Sacramento on the way. The flight attendant explained that there would be another 45-minutedelay, and if we wanted to get off the aircraft, we would reboard in 30 minutes.

Everybody got off the plane except one gentleman who was blind. I noticed him as I walked by and could tell he had flown before because his Seeing Eye dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of him throughout the entire flight. I could also tell he had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached him and, calling
him by name, said, "Keith, we're in Sacramento for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?"

Keith replied, "No thanks, but maybe my dog would like to stretch his legs." Picture this ... all the people in the gate area came to a completely quiet standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with the Seeing Eye dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses. People scattered. They not only tried to change planes, they also were trying to change airlines.

LOL. That would be quite the sight to see as you're getting on the plane.

Watching mtv and the top...well, now it's the top 20 of the year. They're actually playing the interesting ones, but as soon as they stop I'm switching to m2. *G*

Wasn't it just a bit ago I was going to make specific, written goals for myself? Well...haven't done so yet. heh. Am still going to do it though, just don't want it to be a typical new year's resolution thing...cuz, you never ever follow those. hehe. I do have high hopes for this next year though! It should be a good one. Or at least...it's a nice, new, fresh slate to start out on. *nods* Yes, indeed. :o)

I'm actually kind of glad to see this year end. I mean, sure, overall it's been a good year. Even...a very good year. In spots. :) It's also been an overwhelmingly stressful year, and that colors it for me. I'm tired of being stressed out all the time. And Sherry said tonight that it shouldn't be too long before the third doctor gets switched to the outside service. YAYYYYY. That will free me up some. Granted, they have more stuff they want me to do, but it'll be new and interesting and...hopefully a tiny bit less stressful. I don't mind working hard, but I do like being able to actually breathe while doing so. The phone simply will NOT stop ringing. I would gladly stomp on it, but that wouldn't do any good. heh. Oh well. We're all sick of the phone.

Oh well, simply have to hang onto sanity until I can take my vacation this spring. I am so very thrilled about it!! Going to go see a dear friend in Michigan. YAYAYAAY. *spins around in happy circles until she's so dizzy she can't stand, then lays down and watches the world spin by* Whew. It's going to be so much fun.

Cleaned out my truck this weekend. If it would stop raining for a bit I'd give it a bath to get out the pine needles in the back of the bed. Got most of the straw out, though. :o) Now I just need to get some sort of air freshener for it. It no longer has that "new", or even "new used" freshness. Darnit!

Hmm. It's only 8 and I'm already winding down. I may not make it to midnight this year. lol. Oh well. Nothing much is happening, so why bother? We shall see though.

Hope everyone has a great new year! If nothing else, it's a chance to go down a road we've never traveled before. (I know, cheesy. Couldn't help it!)
