Tournament of Roses

When I was little I used to hate the Rose Parade--mostly because we only had two or three channels and the only thing on was that and football ALL day long. lol. But now I actually enjoy it. It's pretty interesting what they can do on those floats! And all the gorgeous horse teams. I couldn't resist trying to get pictures off the tv, and while they aren't that great some of them actually turned out okay. Probably they would have been better on a flat screen tv, but we have to work with what we have. haha.

Distance lends enchantment

I'm about an hours drive from the Rose Parade and have only seen it in person twice. Much too cold of a wait for the reward. The floats are at a park on display for two days afterwards (never been there). I should have gone and taken photos of the details of the dragons. Maybe next year I'll go and take closeup pictures.

That is nice to know--I was watching the crowd during the show and wondered how early you'd have to get there to get a good seat/view even. lol. That is really cool that they have them out for a closer view for a couple days-that would be really cool. If you do get to go next year I am definitely looking forward to seeing the pictures! ^__^
