Amazing how the path to self discovery can just appear out of nowhere and when you least expect it. heh. Now, I'm not saying I'm going to be a totally different person tomorrow or anything, but I did find some highly interesting points to ponder today. Lots of them. Good things and not-so-positive things, but it's actually pretty nice to know that some of the things you feel like you're going through all on your own...actually, lots of people are dealing with those same feelings/issues, even if the exact circumstances are different.
I wrote them down on paper, and plan on putting them in my journal as well...repitition does make it sink in better, after all. But J has this totally wonderful book, I just sank into it. The other one isn't quite as...*connective* to my life, but the one about Something More was just...words leaping off the page begging to be noticed and applied. Powerful stuff. Reeeeaaalllly powerful, even, as I was so engrossed in that I didn't read the one for sheer pleasure that I was planning on. lol. This is actually probably a better thing in the long run, though, so that's fine.
On a sheerly selfish note, work gave out gift certificates Friday evening. Whoo! Got a $25 one to VRC, now just have to decide where I want to go and spend it. So nice to get one to the whole mall, then you don't get stuck having to go to a store you really don't enjoy. They also gave a lovely, encouraging little note which is so sweet. Just in time for the crunch next month. hehe.
