Thanks, and yeah, I noticed that. Will have to see if the closeup flower shot helps on that end any...it's a bit disheartening that my digital appears to not focus on anything closer than the sunrise/sunset length of focus or other midrange stuff. Certainly doesn't do motion at all. At least now I know what to look for in a few years for a new digital. ;o)
Hmm. It's got what it calls a "flower macro" setting, but it doesn't appear to make that big a difference on what I've tried so far. Neither does the "zoom" setting make much difference, other than really not focusing on the only thing it consistently does focus on. ack.
Strange..well, my macro setting icon on the display is also a flower, but I think that's probably a standard thing. I can also select what's supposed to be "infinite" focus for long-distance stuff, and that icon looks like a mountain.
If you do have the macro setting, the camera should focus on the flowers if you've got it pointed right.
Hmmm. Yeah, it has the flower and mountain icons. I'll have to practice again with them, but in the past it didn't seem to make much difference. Thanks for trying to help out. ^___^
