I don't always read AOL's headline things because they take forever to load. But today I noticed the one about the 50 worst things to happen to Rock and Roll. The #2 was Slash leaving Guns N Roses. Now...just a second here. If they'd said Guns N Roses breaking up, I'd totally agree. However, I don't think Slash was in the wrong to leave a band whose singer wouldn't show up to shows or would show up 2 hours late and then leave in a drunken tantrum. Now, admittedly, by the time they broke up I'd stopped paying attention, but I'm pretty sure that Slash had valid reasons for leaving. Musicians don't owe fans sticking to a style of music or cranking out XX amount of music or stuff like that, but they do owe them the courtesy of showing up for concerts that they've paid good money for and are ecstatic about getting to see the band.
Anyway. I didn't wait for the actual article to load, so perhaps that's what they meant. But if they did indeed think Slash was an idiot and wrong for leaving, I disagree.
In other news, it was a Monday. Not a bad one, though. ^___^
