Survived Monday, though the last hour of work was fraught with a thudding headache. Better now, thankfully.
Lilith - Mother of Demons, Vengeful Fury, Darkest Seductress, Queen of the Djinn, Goddess of the Gate. Red wine, myrrh, black musk, and attar of rose. Ick, NO. All I get at first is WINE, then a few minutes of "oh, this is better" to just dullsville. Not working for me at all. Too bad, because I do love Djinn and it would have been fun to have a set.
Sudha Segara - Named after the primordial ocean of milk where Lord Vishnu reclines upon the thousand-headed Naga. Sweet milk and warm, healing ginger with a touch of golden honey and our blend of Ambrosia. Sounds heavenly! Alas, I can barely register a scent when it's on me. *sigh*
Morgause - Earth sorceress and mother of Mordred, she is, in essence, the harbinger of King Arthur's doom and the downfall of Camelot. A bouquet of five night-blooming flowers deepened by dusky violet, purple fruits and the barest breath of medieval incenses. A beautiful scent! I wanted to try this one because of reading The Dragon and the Unicorn, which is about the King Arthur mythos. That reminds me that I need to track down the next books and finish the series. hehe. Anyway, this is a very pretty floral scent that has more depth to it than you would expect from straight florals. I guess it's the fruit and incense that does that, but this imp is one I'll be keeping.
Bliss - A shot of pure, self-indulgent euphoria! A scent that is very, very wicked in its own way: the serotonin-slathered scent of pure milk chocolate. Now, this sounds like pure heaven. And it does smell quite fabulous! I'm not sure why there seems to be an "off" note in so many chocolate scents (philosophy's chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough was the same), but even though it's an interesting scent it doesn't smell real either. So while I'm very happy to keep this imp and get a bit of a chocolate fix, it isn't one I plan on getting again in the future.
Mmm, still fawning over Morgause. Apparently violet is my summer scent! ^___^
