WTF?!

Came home from an early morning of shopping to discover that Cortez had gotten in my room. Not a huge shock, as the house has shifted a bit and my door hasn't been latching super well. (Last year it was only a few days, so I'm hoping that's the same this year. Anyway, he got into my candles and the garbage but nothing else. No biggie.

Then I see that my computer is off--he managed to step on the power grid under the bed. Okay. Turns on fine, but it's on the 800 x 600 size. After restarting my computer THREE times I still can't get it to change to the next higher size. It just acts like that's not an option.

Anyone know how to fix that? I'll keep restarting it this morning, but usually it only takes once so I'm not sure that will fix it. Blaaah.

Dunno how to fix it, but once when we weren't paying attention, Goldie managed to do *something* to the computer, so that when we came back, there was a big thing on the screen asking "Are you sure you want to delete all programs in the start menu?"

heh--as if that's not a fairly terrifying message to come back and see! NO, PLEASE.

Thank you! After fiddling around with various things and restarting several more times, all is now well. Who knows what exactly fixed it, but I'm glad it's back to normal! ^___^
