Okay, I'm late in posting these. This batch is from the weekend of 9/10.
King of Hearts - Rosewood and black cherry with white musk, red rose, red musk and a spark of lavender. Oooh, very pretty! Definitely cherry & musky rose. Something in it makes me think of a hint of licorice, but it must just be the combination of scents. Unfortunately, this one is very light and doesn't last that long on me.
The Peacock Queen - In dramatic contrast to the soft innocence of Snow White and the dew-kissed freshness of her sister, Rose Red, this is a blood red, voluptuous rose, velvet-petaled, at the height of bloom. Haughty and imperious, vain, yet incomparably lovely to the eye, but thick with thorns of jealousy, pride and hatred. OMG, this is absolutely gorgeous!! Roses! Rich and robust, and just beautiful. Mmmm. Will definitely be trying this one again. :o) Next day: Absolutely wonderful! Lasted five hours morning and afternoon, and had great throw. The house mate even said she could smell it at home (I put it on right before I left, and her lunch hour is after mine). Whooo! My previous rose scent (2,5 & 7) will be finding a new home, as there is no comparison on me.
Niflheim - The House of Mists, a land of icy fog, shadowy darkness and soul-chilling cold. Dark, damp blossoms winding through an impenetrable, murky gloom. Much prettier than you'd think! I can actually envision traveling on a path through thick fog, and then coming upon a little oasis of blooms.
Akuma - Devilish temptation, as sweet as sin: blood orange, neroli, and raspberry. Err, this starts out very bitter. I'm starting to get a bit of sweet now with the orange and raspberry, but this really isn't my cup of tea. I'll have to peruse the other oils I've tried with blood orange and neroli and see if I can tell which one is the culprit for sure. Edit: After the first five minutes, this turns into the sweetest orange and berry you could imagine, and is quite lovely for about 30 minutes. Then it's gone, but it's tempting to keep it just for that brief burst of juiciness.
Antique Lace - Nostalgia encapsulated. A soft, wistful blend of dry flowers, aged linens, and the faint breath of long-faded perfumes. Mmm, this is a very pretty and soft scent. Doesn't everyone say this has vanilla in it? It's not mentioned, but it does seem vanilla like. It's a very warm and comforting scent.
Already done?! (edit: I have no idea if I was referring to how quickly the reviews went, or if I thought I'd already reviewed Bastet. The perils of posting so much later!)
Bastet - Bast, Ubasti, Ailuros, Ba-en-Aset. Represented as both a domestic cat and a fierce lioness, she truly evidences traits of both. Luxuriant amber, warm Egyptian musk, fierce saffron and soft myrrh, almond, cardamom and golden lotus. I love the idea of this scent, and picked up a partial bottle so I could try it out more fully than the little sniffie I had. However, I'm not sure it works for me. It's very soft and pleasant, but it isn't as strong and bold as the ones I normally favor. Sometimes it's really pretty, and sometimes it's almost a non-scent. Will probably end up swapping this one off. :\

Aww, that's no good! It's weird how some scents seem to be loved by everyone and yet don't work at all on other people. Snake Oil/Snake Charmer are that way for me.
