Overall, it's been a very good weekend. Went hiking both Friday and Saturday evenings. Great fun and good exercise to boot. I'm a bit surprised that even after not hiking over the winter, I am not as completely out of shape as could be expected. The second hill used to kill me when I first started hiking, and now I can truly enjoy that section as much as some of the more level stuff. The first 15-20 minutes of the hike is the absolute worst for breathing, after that it's fairly easy to maintain a good pace and still breathe, unless it's really muggy or blazingly hot. Now to actually get more consistent with it and get more fit instead of simply maintaining. WHOOO!

Went over to my grandparents place for dinner with mom, sis, uncle and grandparents. Nothing beats a grilled cheeseburger and potato salad on a summer evening with good company! lol. YUM. Tried some tasty new Peppercorn Ranch potato chips too....very good! Then shared pictures with grandma and papa, and then went through the book of Oregon with grandma. Was a nice end to the evening. Can't wait to get organized enough to make some day trips this summer around the state. We're even *considering* saving up for a tent and maybe going that route at campgrounds instead of spending money on hotels for the future overnight trips. We'll see how it goes, but it's something to think about.

Went to bed at a decent hour, but ended up randomly grabbing cd's in the dark to listen to while winding down to sleep...instead, got thrilled about listening to stuff I haven't listened to in ages and stayed up til 1:30 or so listening to music. LOL. Nutty, but it was fun...and got to sleep in this morning, so it all sort of balanced out. ^__^
