I think I'm finally caught up with the old reviews. Just need to type up the new ones sometime this weekend. Whoo!
13 - In our paean to all the mysteries surrounding this enigmatic number, there are thirteen lucky and unlucky components: cocoa and vanilla beans, Mysore sandalwood, star fruit, orange rind, red amber, fig leaf, mimosa, rooibos tea, bourbon geranium, rose otto, nutmeg, and lavender. Hmmm, this is very sweet! A hint of fruit and cocoa, and a very intriguing blend. Will have to see how this one wears, but right now I really like it! Edit: This doesn't last more than a couple of hours, but it's so pretty that I may have to keep it anyway. It's very pleasing to the senses.
Lick It Again - Every holiday season should be full of lewd suggestions and filthy double entendres, right? This is a new take on last year's Lick It – a peppermint candy cane with an extra jolt of sugar.
(As always, we have to state: don't lick perfume. Don't eat it, drink it, cook with it, or use it in any strange and unforeseen way. Black Phoenix is not responsible for that sort of irresponsible funnybusiness.)
OMG!!! This is sheer bliss. True peppermint candy cane, and just absolutely delicious smelling. The warning is definitely to be heeded, as this is truly tempting. I hope it lasts better than most mints do on me because it's fabulous!!!!! :D Edit: This is a super short one (half an hour or so), but it stays bright and fabulous for that whole time and doesn't leave that weird non-scent when it leaves. So this is a definite keeper!
Samhainphobia - The fear of Halloween. Menacing Haitian vetiver, patchouli, and clove with a shock of bourbon geranium, grim oakmoss, and dread-inspiring balsams pierce the innocuous scent of autumn leaves. Hmmm, this is interesting. Don't really pick up the vetiver and patchouli on their own - this is a very autumny scent with leaves and other greens, with a lovely fall overtone. Not really what I was expecting but still very nice. This one lasts pretty well, too!
