This morning was really weird - the car windows were slick and icy, but the roads were dry as a bone. Thankfully!! But the glass was super slick.
Anyway, here's some reviews that I missed posting earlier:
Lucy's Kiss - Created to represent the essence of Bram Stoker's tragic herione, Lucy Westenra. Seductive, wanton and deadly, but underscored with a soft, wistful innocense. The gentle scent of rose and a blend of Victorian spices. Mm, very pretty! If you can imagine spicy roses, this is the scent for you. I'm very pleased to have tried this one, though I don't think I'll be getting it again. A little soft for my tastes, but it's really a very nice scent if you want something more than plain rose.
The Unicorn - A misty, almost luminous perfume: wispy linden blossoms, white flowers, and a touch of sweet herbs. OMG, YAY! This is light and luscious. I've been putthing this one off forever because I was afraid it would be to light with descriptors such as "wispy" and "luminous" in it. This is just beautiful. It makes me think of tea and sunny afternoons. Hope this one lasts longer on me than most of the Wonderland scents, because if it does I will eventually be getting a bottle of this one. *happy dancing*
The Tavern of Hell - Sometimes I would venture from my sepulchre to the jazz of night Paris, where having gathered the colours, I would think them over in front of the fire. I could be seen walking through a funeral corridor of my house and descending down a black spiral of steep stairs; rushing underground to Montmartre, all impatience to see the fiery rubies of the Moulin Rouge cross. I wondered thereabouts, then bought a ticket to watch frenzied delirium of feathers, vulgar painted lips and eyelashes of black and blue.
<> White gardenia, ambergris bouquet, lavender fougere, orange blossom, melissa, tobacco flower, coriander, ebony wood, ylang ylang, absinthe and aged whiskey. Oh, my. This starts out as overpowering whiskey and strident flowers, but it's starting to settle down into something quite nice. I think I'm going to like this one, but we shall see what it continues to do! (Edit: It must have decided to do something not wonderful, because I found it in my swap pile last week. hehe)
Budding Moon - Budding Moon shines as Spring moves with its first breath, and this scent expresses that burst of life-affirming joy through an olfactory interpretation of Huang Quan's flower-and-bird paintings. Plum blossom, peony, lotus root, Chinese musk and a hint of white ginger. Mmm, very pretty!! This is so sweet and just lovely. It may have the record of lasting all of five seconds on my skin, or my nose is just tired from the others before it today. Will definitely be testing it again, as it is a lovely plum and floral scent and I'm hopeful it will work for me! :D
