I've been watching BBC's How Clean Is Your House? lately and just learned a very disturbing fact. They said that mice don't have bladders and so that's why they pee all over the place. Ack. She's got mice poop all over the kitchen. Disgusting. They also just said that a mouse can fit through a hole the thickness of a pencil. That's amazing. If rather creepy. *G*

It's amazing how heavy a little cat can be - she's decided her new favorite place to sit is right on your chest (which is nicer for typing!), but it's a bit harder to breathe sometimes. lol.

I used to LOVE that programme.. is it the one with the two women that go to people's houses and one looks like a drag queen?

Yes, that's the one! I get a kick out of their feather boa gloves and pearls on rubber boots, etc. At least they try to make cleaning a fun adventure!

They still show it on BBC America if you get that channel. :o)

I'm not sure when they normally air. I have caught them on Saturdays, but last weekend it was in the afternoon and this weekend in the morning. It appears they're going to show two eps around noon on Monday (PST anyway).

Mice have bladders, just not very large ones. Yes, they can fit through amazingly small cracks and crevices, spaces where you'd think only insects could go.

Thank you for the clarification! I was wondering about that, but they're normally very informative.

It's amazing how flexible they are! :o)

Yes, I'm currently being reminded of that. I saw one in the kitchen earlier this week, so we put down traps. We use live traps and carry them as far from the house as possible to release them in a brushpile or thicket.

The first day, we caught two. The second day, three, and saw two more. Today we caught four. I'm afraid the word is out: free peanut butter in the kitchen over there...

Yikes! That's a lot of mice. That's really cool that you use the live traps - I hope that you're clearing out the rest of them soon and it's not that they're coming back and bringing more to the party. *G*

That show scares me. It makes me a wee bit more paranoid than normal. :P

LOL, I know what you mean! It's amazing the sort of houses they find - I sincerely hope that the people are able to change after their clean slate. Some of the cleaning tips they share are really neat though! :o)
