I'm so glad that I do not live in a big city. While I understand that Portland isn't a large city, it's more than busy enough for me. It took over an hour to travel from the freeway to the airport - both going to the hotel and coming home - and it's really not *that* long a stretch of highway. Regardless, the Friday seminar was very informative and entertaining. Thank goodness he was a lot of fun, since he was the speaker for basically the whole seminar. We learned a lot about technology in the dental/medical office and how the future will be paperless. heh. Or at least chart less. ;D

Thursday night's Ducks game was disheartening. We were all excited that we made it to the hotel in time to see it and even ordered room service (a first for all of us!). Things were looking good and then suddenly Dixon got hurt. Urgh. The game just continued to get uglier and uglier, and then Stewart's injury and those last turnovers just were miserable. Too bad that Dixon's Heisman's hopes are probably finished, but that kind of sucks when it should take into account the whole season and not just the last three games. Oh well. Here's hoping his pro career goes well, since he won't be playing for the remainder of his senior year.

Since we're on the subject of football, here's the Week 11 picks. We'll see.

Note to self: Even though Flavorite's cheese and shells cost less than Kraft's, do not get them. Repeat, do NOT get them! They are even weirder colored and taste a bit bitter. Oh well. The broccoli and turkey helped make it tasty anyway. :o)

big cities do slow things down when you are tring to get somewhere. getting to and from work in peak hour is such a drag. what are you doing in portland?

They do indeed. Peak hour has expanded even - we left at 3:30 in the afternoon! We had a small group of us from the office who went up to Portland for a seminar on Friday. Sometimes extra education through work can really be fun, and this was one of those times. :o)
