Tonight

Well, as you know, I was supposed to be meeting a small group of people from Live Journal tonight, but it didn't work out, for me, anyway. Got there a few minutes before the appointed time, but didn't see anyone who lookd like they were waiting for anyone. Instead, saw two guys laughing like hyenas at everyone, but it's really quite intimidating after they make eye contact and start laughing hysterically. O.o So, decided I didn't want to stand by the door where they were at, so ordered a caramel frappuchino and took it outside to wait. After the initial two sips and "UGH! Coffee overloaded taste!" it was quite excellent. Caramel. Yum. Finished it and still didn't see anyone who didn't look like they knew each other already, so ended up leaving after 20 minutes. *shrug* Oh well, it was worth a shot, and it was indeed nice to try the new drink. Stopped by on the way home and got dog food and some frozen stuff for lunches, so it wasn't all bad either. Just would have liked to have at least said hi to someone new. lol. Hmmm. I think if they do this again in a month or so, we need to have either an actual host or a journal where we can at least say, hey, this is what I'm wearing or *something*. lol.

Ahh, oh well. At least I did have the courage to go! Just not enough to go around asking random groups of people if they were here for the LJ Meet. LOL.

I couldn't go to mine; I couldn't get the night off of work. Just as well; only one person RSVP'd.

I hope it picks up soon. I think it would be neat to get together with other LJers.

Yes, better luck next time for everyone! I think it's a fantastic idea, really. I have a hard time meeting new people, but at least this way (in theory) you're meeting other people who are interested in meeting new people, and not just 'crashing' the party, so to speak. Ugh. Yeah, okay, so I'm a bit timid, it's something I'm working on. ^__^

*goosebumps* Yeah, the thought of walking up to a stranger and just chatting is rather intimidating. lol. Ahh, well. Good luck to you on your endeavors! ^__^
