*sigh* I love this song. Melodrama and all. lol.

Today alternated between being really sucky and really wonderful. Thankfully weighed more heavily on the wonderful side. Gorgeous, gorgeous morning--I need to pick up a disposable camera for driving around with, especially going to work. There's no way in the world I'm leaving my good camera in the truck while working all day. Ugh. We're not in *that* good an area of town at all.

The phone never stopped ringing today, and both Diana and Sharon were swamped with other stuff so I had the pleasure of answering it ALL DAY LONG. I didn't get to make any of the phone calls I was hoping to make...the only plus to that is the p/a box didn't exactly get swamped, at least. *Hopefully* tomorrow will go more smoothly and I'll get caught up on those, and then can make some of my calls on Wed. At this point, I'd be happy to get even five done a day, because I haven't been able to make any at all for far too long. Ugh. And I'm trying really hard not to get into the 'work sucks' mantra, but my mantra of 'I love my job' is sounding a wee bit sarcastic at this point. ;o) It'll improve, and sooner than I had expected, if things go well. Sherry is looking for someone to take over the transcription part, so that would free up at least a couple of hours a day. OH, that would be so nice right now. Yeah! And we've got one week in September where we only have one doctor in the home office and one in the satellite office part of the week, so they encouraged me to take that week off. They really didn't have to push very hard once I realized both managers were okay with it. This will be the first full week I've had off that I've not had any huge plans, and I'm looking forward to it. Only plans I have right now are hiking lots and then relaxing lots, and totally rearranging my room if I don't already have the daybed by then. heeeh. I cannot wait.

Ended up going grocery shopping after work, met Mom there so neither one of us had to shop/bag alone. At the second to last light, I'm waiting on a red light to make a right. I see MY light turn green, and THEN two cars go through the intersection. And then (thankfully) I looked left and see this stupid red car SPEED UP to go through the now long-red-light. AAAUUGGGHHH. I'm so glad I looked, because the last thing in the world I want to deal with is a crushed truck and/or me. Ugh. Stupid driver. If I hadn't gotten stuck at the next light I was going to follow her, jot down her license plate and call the police so they could send her one of those warning letters. I had considered trying to find it in the parking lot anyway, but there were too many generic bright red little cars there and I didn't want to get the wrong one warned. I was so ticked though. Ggrrrr.

It's really astounding when you think about it--how a second or a choice to turn right or left at a certain spot can either save you from something horrible or will get you right into the trouble. Those 'what-ifs' will get you if you think about them too long. I'm just thankful tonight, that's for sure. The rest of the evening has been uneventful, thankfully. :o)
